Joan "Joanie" Carol Washington was born on September the 25th, 1968 to the late J.C. Washington Jr. and Dorris Ann (Sattlewhite) Washington of Austin, Texas.

Joan graduated from Clifton Center in 1991 in Austin, Texas.

Joanie loved her family, shopping, listening to music and going to church. She had the brightest smile that touched a lot of hearts. Despite all her health conditions, she battled them like a soldier. She surely will be missed.

Joan Carol Washington leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother Dorris Ann Washington of Austin, Texas, two sisters; Kimberly Ann Washington, Scenia Mae Washington-Tucker of Austin, Texas, two brothers; J.C. Washington III, and Terry Keith (LaSandra) Washington of Austin, Texas. Nine nieces, two nephews, four great-nieces, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of family and friends.
