John Graham

John Wright Roman Graham was born on September 17, 1984 in Austin, Texas to Larry K. Graham, Sr. and Cheryl Patman. He departed this world on Monday, August 3, 2015 in Austin, Texas, a life cut tragically short. He professed his faith and was baptized at an early age.

John was the younger brother of Sharon Graham and Larry K. Graham, Jr., and the devoted older brother of his "baby sister", Alex Crochran. He attended Lee Elementary School, O. Henry Middle School, and McCallum High School, attaining his GED in 2003.

Mischievous and possessing a wicked sense of humor coupled with an inability to suffer fools gladly, John was also caring and compassionate. He strove to look out for the underdog and was an unwaveringly loyal son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend. As is true of many who live in Austin, John had a love of music and was often found at music festivals and venues. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed thrillers and mysteries. However, as much as he enjoyed these pursuits, the main love of John's life was his niece, Naomi Johnson, Alex's daughter. He could talk for hours about how smart and beautiful she is.

Although not formally religious when he was older, John was nonetheless a very spiritual person and sought meaning and understanding throughout his life. He was exceptionally intelligent and enjoyed a good debate on any subject.

John was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold Patman; his paternal grandfather, Clarence Graham; his paternal grandmother, Ida Mae Graham; and his uncle Benny Graham.

His is survived by his grandmother, Norma Delgado; his step-grandparents, Harold & Mary Lou Core; his mother, Cheryl King; his father, Larry K. Graham, Sr.; his stepmother, Lisa Graham; his brother, Larry K. Graham, Jr.; his sisters, Sharon Graham, and Alex Crochran; his niece, Naomi Johnson; and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM at All Faiths North Chapel, 8507 N IH-35, Austin, Texas 78753.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, August 10 at 11:00 AM at the North Location of All Faiths Funeral Services.
