John Ledesma

Our brother, John Ledesma, was called to the heavens, unexpectedly, on September 7, 2015, after a brief illness. John was born to Consuelo and Delores Ledesma on December 19, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas and spent the first half of his life there before calling Austin his home. In his younger years, John served his country in the United States Army. John had a strong passion for drawing, playing guitar, rummaging through thrift stores and flea markets, looking for rare treasures, and spending his Sundays in Zilker Park. John was a genuine, kind-hearted and thoughtful person who made friends easily because of his great personality and positive traits; he will be missed by all.

John is survived by his siblings Dan Ledesma and wife Janice; Tommy Ledesma and wife Esther; David Ledesma; Isaac Ledesma and wife Irene; Sammy Ledesma and wife Cindy; Marta Ledesma and Rebecca Ledesma. John is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, who loved him dearly and called him Uncle Johnny.

Johnny was preceded in death by his infant brother Donald Ledesma and sisters, Debbie Ann Ledesma and Peggy Ledesma Davis, and parents Delores and Consuelo Ledesma.

Memorial services will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Assumption Cemetery Chapel at 1:30pm.
