Johnny Galvan

Our beloved Johnny Galvan, age 62, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 5, 2017. He is proceeded in death by his father, John Galvan Sr., his sister Mary Galvan, and his brother Joseph Galvan.

Johnny is survived by his daughter Shanda Hernandez, son Shawn Galvan, grandchildren: Jacqueline Hernandez and Ava Galvan; his mother, Carmen Besa, stepfather Freddie Besa, sisters: Carmelita Arispe, Adella Jimenez, Catherine Galvan, Patricia Besa, Andreanna Cano, Annette Galvan, Della Gidget; brothers: Martin Galvan, Thaddeus Galvan, and Manual Galvan, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and other loving friends and family.

Johnny was born and raised in East Austin. He graduated from Johnston High School. Johnny served as an altar-boy at Cristo Rey and was a painter/handyman for many years. Johnny was a huge Dallas Cowboy and UT fan who loved to dance. He loved his family and friends very much.

Pallbearers are Eli Villalpango, Henry Villalpango, Alfred Castro, John Gonzales (Bully), Rick Lopez, Rick Bocanegra, Virgil Limon, Danny Estrada, Tony Huerta and Julian Galvan.

Rosary to be recited prior to Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery: 5513 Cadillac Drive Austin, TX 78724
