Johnny Ray Hodge was born to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hodge on July 22, 1947 in Austin, Texas where he attended public school.
Johnny accepted Christ at an early age at St. James Baptist under the late Rev. E.M. Franklin.
He worked for Night Hawk Restaurant for many years and later worked construction until his health began to fail. He enjoyed sports and was a huge Cowboys and Longhorn fan. He loved family gatherings and family trips. He enjoyed playing dominoes, spades with family and late night solitaire.
Although Johnny had no children of his own, he was a fun and loving uncle to many.
Johnny was preceded in death by his older brother Clarence Jr., parents Clarence and Muriel Hodge.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Calvin Hodge (Sharrol) of Austin; three sisters, Alvalene Montgomery (William) of Dallas, Texas, Doris Wooley and Betty Demps (George) of Austin; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
