Joy Priest

Joy Margaret Priest, of Giddings Texas, went to be with the Lord on February 29, 2016. She was born October 20, 1962, in Vernon Texas, to Frank and Mary Wolf.
She moved to Giddings in 1970, attended Giddings High School, married her High School sweetheart, Tim Priest, in 1979 and moved to Smithville, Texas where she raised her 3 children. Joy worked for many years at Bastrop Abstract Company and was most recently an employee at Professional Image Answering Service in Giddings. She enjoyed her drives in "Tina Bug", writing short stories and journal entries on her daily life activities and funny quotes. She spent much of her free time with her grandchildren having long talks about life, giving advice and playing games with them. She is known to many as bringing the "Joy" into life and will be missed by many.
Joy is survived by her 2 children: Tiffany Reyna and husband Robert, of Bay City, Texas and Danielle Kemper, of Giddings, Texas. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: Skylar, MaKylee, Dalton, Kaydence and Karson along with 3 brothers, 1 sister, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Joy is preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Priest; brother, Kirk and parents.
A viewing will be held Friday, March 4th from 5pm-8pm and the service will be held March 5th, at 11am at All Faiths of the Pines Funeral Home with graveside service to immediately follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
