Joyce Wooten

Joyce L. Wooten, 60, passed on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Austin Retirement and Nursing due to complications with diabetes and kidney disease.

Joyce was born July 8, 1956 in Austin, TX to the late Alfred and Mary Williams. She was the youngest of four children. Joyce married Lonnie L. Wooten on December 15, 1975 in Georgetown, TX and they had two children. Joyce loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed volunteering, taking time to help others and one of her favorite pastimes was playing Bingo.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Lonnie Wooten, son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Chanti Wooten and son Ryan Wooten, 5 grandchildren, and siblings Ernest Williams, Shirley Havard and Dennis Williams.

A graveside service with be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, 11:30, at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. The family asks that any donations made in her honor go to The National Kidney Foundation at 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016.
