Juanita passed away on May 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered.
Born on May 30, 1944, Juanita's life was a testament to the beauty of family bonds and the joy found in simple moments spent together. Throughout her retirement years, she treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by her loved ones; always ensuring to make them feel special, whether through a phone call on birthdays or making sure to get a birthday song in at parties, she always let you know she cared with her trademark "I Love You, Chingos!" She absolutely loved to sing, and those who were gifted with her song will always cherish those memories.
Juanita will be deeply missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Pedro Ruiz and daughter Alma Ruiz Bandiera. She is survived by her children Sylvia Ruiz Medina, Pedro Ruiz, Jr., Margarita Ruiz, Benita Ruiz, Barbarita Ruiz, Jesse Ruiz, and Rene Ruiz Sandoval. Additionally, she leaves to cherish her memory her 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was so proud of them all, and her warm presence and infectious sense of humor touched the lives of all who were privileged to know her.
Known for her kind and welcoming nature, Juanita had a gift for making others feel at ease in her company. Her laughter filled the room with joy, and her caring spirit left and indelible mark on all those around her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on May 21, 2024 at All Faiths Funeral Services - North Chapel. The event will begin at 11:30 AM to honor and remember the remarkable life of Juanita Ybarra Ruiz.
As we mourn the loss of a remarkable soul, let us also celebrate the joy she brought into our lives and carry forward the love she shared so generously. Juanita may have left this world physically, but her spirit will live on eternally in the heart of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
