Miss Juaita 'Nita' Winn was the first child born to Deacon Abraham Lincoln and Deaconess Hazel (Harris) Winn on September 14, 1922 in Mendoza, Texas. She was a lifetime member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church where she joined at a young age. She was the granddaughter of Reverend A.L. Winn who once pastored St. James Missionary Baptist Church and the great granddaughter of Reverend John H. Winn Sr., one of the pioneers of St. John Colony, Dale, Texas.
