Julia Dawson 99, of Austin, Texas passed away in her home, June 15, 2014. Julia was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 12, 1914. She was a foreman of the sewing division at Dodge Truck for thirty years. She was one of the first women to join a union. She shared a home with her son William T. Dawson Jr. She is preceded in death by her son Donald J. Dawson of Austin and she is survived by her nieces Lauren E. Cantu and Emily C. Dawson of Austin and many relatives in the Detroit and Phoenix areas. There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Thomas More at 11 AM, Thursday, July 3, 2014, followed by interment in the columbarium.
