Julie Gower

Julie Ann Gower of Round Rock, Texas passed away at home on Friday, July 21, 2017 after a lengthy illness.  She was 69 years old.

Julie grew up in Temple, Texas and attended Temple High School before moving to Austin in 1972 to attend the University of Texas at Austin.  After graduating with honors, she taught for many years before retiring from the Federal government.  She is survived by her daughter, Angela.

The family wishes to extend their extreme gratitude to Dr. Jinnie Bruce, Dr. Harsh Babbar; all of the nurses in the intensive care unit of Seton Williamson County, especially Tatiana and Rosie; and a very heartfelt thank you to Nurse Shannon and Jessica of Hospice Austin whose daily visits allowed her to remain comfortable at home.

Private services were held by the family.  Donations in her honor may be made to Hospice Austin, Austin Pets Alive or better yet, save the life of a dog or cat by adopting from your local animal shelter.
