Karen Lee Wright Macon, age 74, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Austin, Texas on February 21, 2019. Karen was a resident of Austin. She was born in Odessa, Texas to Audrey Pauline and Ralph Revere Wright. Karen is remembered in love by her children Mark Allen Macon, Joseph Matthew Macon-wife Samela Macon, Monty Ray Macon, Marla Kaye Macon Telesforo-husband Adan Telesforo, Kayla Marlene Macon-husband Dominic Autry, and Michael Lee Macon. She also leaves a legacy of love through nine grandchildren Weston Macon, Kathryn Macon, Kyler Macon, Kamryn Telesforo, Adriana Telesforo, Adan “Toouk” Telesforo, Fisher Autry, Lucas Autry, and Becca Bucher. Karen is also survived by her siblings Brenda Macon, Raymond Wright, Lisa Cole, Robert Wright as well as nieces and nephews-all of whom she dearly loved.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents Audrey and Ralph Wright of Ore City, Texas.
Karen was a life-long educator and artist. She was a loyal, compassionate, and loving friend to all who knew her. Karen was known for her love and devotion to her family. She joyfully and passionately coordinated family reunions and events year after year to ensure her family remained connected. She never missed an opportunity to make others feel loved through the thoughtful giving of a card or a gift.
Karen loved conversation, and she was as good at listening as she was making conversation. She had countless friends from childhood through adulthood and continued to make new friends even in her last days.
Karen was a remarkable person, and her legacy of creativity, love, and compassion will live on through those who were blessed to know and love her. She will be deeply missed.
