Kathy Elaine Walker the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Middleton was born on a bright and beautiful morning February 27, 1956 in Austin, Texas. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. J. H. Penn.
Kathy was called different names of affection by all of her family members. To her parents she was "Kitty", to her sisters she was "Kat", to her brother she was "Big one", to her nieces and nephews she was "Aunt Kathy", to her grandsons she was "Nana", and to her daughter and son she was "Mama".
Kathy was a faithful employee of Westminister Manor for 34 years. Kathy's love in life was spending time with her family. She adored every opportunity she got to spend with her grandson's "her boys". She delighted in being the family "dessert chef" and seeing the smiles on her nieces and nephews faces when they saw the wonderful desserts she had prepared. Family holidays, Saturday afternoon shopping trips with her mother and cutting her father's hair were all things that she took joy in. In addition to spending time with her family she loved expressing her love, faith and trust in God through all things, her most enjoyable duty was preparing the corsages for the annual Women's Day Program. Her warm and kind spirit, her loving personality, contagious smile, and unselfish ways were evident. She will be greatly missed and her memories will forever dwell in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
On Thursday February 20th (her mother's birthday) at 5:48pm, the Lord called her home to receive her blessings. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Arfelia Walker, her sisters Gloria Middleton and Edith Ellison, and one brother Anthony Middleton.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving parents Lee Roy and Arfelia Middleton; one daughter Tonicka "Nikki" Middleton; one son Kenneth Bernard Miller, Jr. "Jay"; two loving grandsons Ta'Ron Lamont Middleton and Dedric De'Von Johnson, Jr.; three sisters Shirley Ann Jones, Kathryn Jeannette Moten, Marilyn Kay Middleton all of Austin, Texas; One brother Larry Donnell Middleton (Emma); two cousins she considered sisters Wanda Maxwell and Yolanda Perkins.
