Keith Clagett

Keith Edward Clagett, 71 of Austin died Wed Feb 2, 2022 at his home.

Graveside funeral services 2:00PM Friday Feb 25, 2022 at Cook Walden/Forest Oaks cemetery, Austin, Texas.

Keith was born July 16, 1950 to Edwin Brownlow Clagett and Sarah "Pat" Carver Clagett in Williamson County TX. He married Jo Ann Sobeck May 15, 1976 in Austin. Preceeded in death by his father, mother, wife and son Jason Clagett. He is survived by daughter, Kristy Clagett and four grand children.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to ASPCA.

After high school, Keith attended Texas State Technical College in Waco studying welding technology. After completing his training he moved back to Austin and began his lifelong career with Spillar Welding. His specialty was in ornamental iron work, building custom hand rails, spiral staircases, fences, gates, and other items in steel and aluminum. He was a master of his trade. Building, modifying, and racing cars, especially corvettes, was his hobby of choice. Keith could build almost anything from a car to a house and took pride in anything he built. Keith was a good friend and for those of us who knew him he will be deeply missed.
