Kelsey was born in Austin on October 2, 1992. She grew up in Smithville, graduating from Bastrop High School in 2011. She loved spending time with her mom and s ister cooking and listening to music. Hunting with her father was something she loved to do as well. She lived in San Marcos and attended Texas State University.
