Kenneth C. Bechtel passed away in his home in Pflugerville, TX on July 14, 2013. Born in New York City, November 26, 1938. Ken servied in the U.S. Navy before marrying his wife, Patricia. Ken and his family made their home in McAllen in 1973, where they raised two sons, William and Kenneth. Ken and Pat were active in Marriage Encounter, and members of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Ken, "PopPop", was devoted to his family and took great joy in spending time with his 4 grandchildren. Ken is preceded in death by his wife, the late Patricia Bechtel, who passed away in 2006. He is survived by his son, William C. Bechtel (Hutto, TX)and his wife Christin; their children, Taylor,Kendra, and William; son, Kenneth P. Bechtel (Donna, TX)and his wife Ana, their son, Kenneth.
A graveside services will begin at 10:00 am on August 3, 2013 at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen, TX
In lieu of flowers or customary gifts, the family asks that donations be made to Palm Valley Animal Center in Edinburg, TX
