Born in Hope, Arkansas to Lee Roy Presley, Sr. and Doris Mae Bell, Lee grew up in Austin, Texas. He graduated from Sydney Lanier High School and then studied at John Connally Technical College in Waco, Texas. On April 25, 1969, Lee married his best friend and soul mate, Sue Teseny.
As an electrician, Lee & Sue moved 19 times following Brown & Root Construction Company, building Electrical Plants, Paper Mills, Nuclear Power Plants, etc... , throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
In 1982, Lee moved to Austin, Texas to work for IBM. He was employed for 13 years in the Chemical Tank Farm, where he was trained additionally in Fire Control methods and techniques.
He then returned to school, re-instating his Electrical License, and joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Lee had numerous accomplishments including certifications, licenses, and other continuing education credits before returning to the type of work he loved best.
Following a disabling health problem, Lee retired in 2008. Lee was also a member of the Moose Lodge, and many other groups. He was a 32 degree member of both the Shriners and the Masons. He was associated with the 'Dirt Brothers' (who are accomplished in securing archeological artifacts) and was an avid Treasure Hunter involved with Austin Metal Detecting Club and Lost Pines Metal Detecting Club of Buda, Texas.
Lee was called by his Lord, Friday, December 20, 2013, to join his parents, Roy and Doris, and his sister, Brenda Carol Presley.
Lee was a beloved Husband & Soul Mate, loving and doting Dad, Paw-Paw, and best friend. He is survived by his wife of 44 and a half years, Sue Teseny Presley of Austin, Texas; his son, Lee Roy "Trey" Presley, III (& wife Christine Dubose Presley) of Shiner, Texas; his daughter Mariana Presley Klima (& husband Charles Klima) of Gatesville, Texas; and his grandchildren Kaylee Sierra Presley, Karissa Cheyenne Presley, Kingsley Daurelyse Klima , and Lee Samuel Presley.
As a caring brother-in-law and uncle, he leaves behind many in-laws, nieces, nephews, as well as a multitude of very good friends. He was truly blessed.
There will be a 'Celebration of Life' service Thursday, December 26th 2013, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the All Faith's Funeral Home, 8507 North IH35, Austin, Texas 78753.
