Sister Lena Doris Jackson was born on November 29, 1946 in Bellville, Texas to Freddie Womack and Lucy Buchanan. She accepted Christ at a young age.
Lena married Lee James Neal, Sr. and to this union one son was born, Lee James Neal, Jr.
She was employed as a domestic worker for over twenty years. She enjoyed interacting with people. Some of her hobbies include music, dancing, and entertaining.
Lena was preceded in death by both parents, four sisters, Freddie Latchie, Flora Wilson, Sara Lee Nelson and Hattie Lee Haywood; and two brothers, George Ward and Bill Harvey.
She leaves to cherish her memories her significant other, Horace Banks of Austin, Texas; son lee James Neal Jr. of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Christopher and Latasha of Houston, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A visitation with the family will be held Friday, August 30, 2013 at All Faiths Funeral Services - North Chapel. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's College Heights Baptist Church, burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
