Manuela "Nellie" Garza
Manuela Garza passed away August 18, 2012, at the age of 72. She was born July 8, 1940 in Coahoma, TX.
Nellie received her bilingual teaching certification and dedicated her entire career to teaching and catholic charities. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her grandkids very much and will leave them with so many precious memories. We will miss her blessings, her generosity, her lemon bars, her fruit salad, her beautiful hair and manicured nails, her stories, her laughter, her humming and her smile. She taught us how to pray and how to love. She will forever be in our hearts.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Ramon and Leocadia Nabarrette; great-grandson, Duke Reid Keathley; Son-in-law, Dave Oberhoffer.
Survived by her loving husband, Jorge V. Garza; Children: Sylvia Oberhoffer, Debra Otwell and husband Danny; Mary Franco and husband Ramon, Juanita Jennings and husband Tim, Johnny Subia Jr. and Shirley Aguilera, and Michelle Martin. Stepsons: Daniel Garza and wife, Yvonne; David Garza and wife, Veda; Dean M. Garza and wife Eva; 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Siblings: Juanita Bynum, Terry Lechuga, Mary Helen Martinez and Ramon Nabarrette Jr.
Family will receive visitors at All Faith Funeral Services (north location) from 4p - 6p on Monday, August 20, 2012. Rosary to follow.
