Maria Salas

Maria Francisca (Frances) Salas born April 21, 1938, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, May 23, 2014 after a brief battle with Cancer.

A graduate of St. Mary's Academy in 1957, attended Our Lady of the Lake University and taught elementary school in the early years. Upon returning to Austin she had 28 years of service with The University of Texas and AISD. She was known for the generous spirit, kind heart, wonderful sense of humor, her sense of fashionable style and great love for celebrating Christmas with loved ones.

Frances is preceded in death by Her Parents; Lorenzo and Luz Salas, Brothers; Guadalupe, Catarino, John and Hilario Salas, Sister-in-Law; Cipriana Salas.

Survived by Her Sisters; Teresa Salas Wing, Josie Salas, Carmen Salas, Sister-in-Law; Inez R. Salas and a host of Nieces and Nephews whom she loved to spoil.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Her Nephews.

Visitation Services will be held on Monday, May 26, 2014 4:00pm to 8:00pm at All Faiths Funeral Service, South Congress location. Recitation of Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00am. Internment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
