Mary Wilson

Mary Beatrice Wilson, 87, of Elroy, Texas, died peacefully on June 29, 2017, at home with family by her side. She was born in San Marcos, Texas on October 20, 1929. She was preceded in death by her first husband Milburn Calvin King, parents Joseph and Ida Shugart, twin sister Myrtle Mareck, sister Kathryn Butler, and husband Donald "Larry" Wilson.

Mary was a master Yahtzee player who enjoyed smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee around the table with family and friends. Hobbies included gossiping, watching cars go by, and teaching the grandchildren sass. She loved listening to country music and watching Law & Order. She was a funny woman who will be dearly missed by many.

She leaves behind her brother, Billy Joe Shugart and wife Clara, of Lake Livingston, and her five children: Gene King and wife Marcia, of Lake Livingston; Mary Ann Chouinard of Elroy; Jodie King of Del Valle; Milburn King and wife Rhonda, of Kyle; and Della Schlicke and husband Scott, of Elroy. She had thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

A memorial will be held on July 8th, at 1:00pm, at 412 Mesa Dr, Del valle, Texas, to give everyone the opportunity to remember the blessings of Mary’s eighty seven years in this world.
