Melinda Varden

Melinda Katherine Varden passed to her reward with our Lord on March 11, 2016. She was born June 20, 1951 in St. Joseph, Missouri to the late Melville B. Smith and Katherine F. Smith.

She was presided in death by both parents and her younger brother Melville G. Smith.

Melinda is survived by her husband of 47 years of marriage, Thomas M. Varden of Cistern, Texas; Daughters, Diana L. Steubing and husband Richard of Cistern, Texas, and Lisa A. Terry and husband Robert of Fairbanks, Alaska; Three Brothers, Brady Smith and his wife Marilyn, Ralph Smith (twin)and his wife Carol, and Leslie Smith and his wife Nancy; One sister, Christine Albright and her husband Dennis; Five Grandchildren, Tara, Trinity, Austin, Alice, and Travis along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Varden dearly loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and "Shopping." Spending quality, loving time with her grandchildren was a great joy in her life. The family's loss is the Lords gain.

The Family hosted a Visitation & Open House on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 2:00PM ~ 6:00PM at The Steubing & Varden Residence located at 14805 N State Hwy 95, Flatonia, Texas, 78941.

To honor Melinda K Varden a Celebration of Life will be Saturday, April 9, 2016, 2:00PM at Epic Church located at 8755 West Warm Springs Road, #105, Las Vegas. Nevada, 89148.
