Milton David “Chip” Wood, 64, of Buchanan Dam, TX, passed away on January 12, 2020 after a brief illness.
Chip was born in Sumter, South Carolina at Shaw Air Force Base to Doris and Milton Wood on January 3, 1956. He lived with his family in various places in the United States and Japan, finally settling in Austin, TX. He moved to the Buchanan Dam area 3 ½ years ago where he made many friends and found a great family. Chip worked at Ace Hardware and was a member of the Buchanan West Baptist Church where he grew closer to Christ and his fellow church members. He loved motorcycles, stray cats, watching TV and lending a hand to anyone in need.
Chip is preceded in death by father, Milton F. “Woody” Wood.
Chip is survived by mother, Doris Wood, siblings and their spouses Mike Wood and wife Ronda, Carol Hamilton and husband Don, Donald Wood and wife Kim, Robert Wood and wife Kathy, Bill Wood and wife Brenda, and Ken Wood and wife Claudia. Also Chip is survived by 11 nieces and nephews along with numerous spouses and 4 great nephews. Carol and Henry Lackey, dear friends of Chip and the family, survive him as well.
Memorials may be given to Buchanan West Baptist Church, any animal rescue charity or any charity of your choice.

A celebration of his life will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Buchanan West Baptist Church, 850 Lillian Dean, Buchanan Dam, TX.
