Minnie Scales

Minnie B. Veal Scales was the only child born to Mrs. Myrtle Odessa Kellough and Mr. Ace Veal on August 31, 1939 in Bastrop, Texas, Bastrop County. She was preceded in death by both parents.
She professed an interest in Christ and was joined with the Antioch Baptist Church in Bastrop, Texas at an early age. As a teenager she attended L.C. Anderson High School in Austin, Texas where she met Clarence Scales. They were married on December 24, 1957. He preceded her in death. To this union five children were born.
She will be remembered for her endless generosity, her beautiful heart and her charming smile.
She leaves to celebrate her life, one sister-in-law, Gladys Scales Fielder. One son, Clifford Scales (Cathy) of Austin, Texas. Four daughters, Sharon Mooney, of Pflugerville, Texas, Jacqueline Byrd (Curtis), Stovenna Milligan and Yolanda Lovelace of Austin, Texas. Twelve Grandchildren, Nathaniel Blaylock, Jr., Dennis Taylor, Jr., Stephanie Bruner (Maurice), Jose' Revada (Jennifer Pena), James Revada (Brianna Fuller) , Nicole Milligan, Shelia Scales, Amber Williams, Antionette Williams, Jeremy Jackson, Tiffany Washington (Jimmy) and Tanya Walker. Thirteen Great-Grandchildren, Zayda Williams, Meagan Bruner, Andre McVade, Maurice Bruner, II, N. Morgan Bruner, Beauty Taylor, Taya Revada, Viklyn Revada, Noah Pena, Tabitha Pena, Jaeden Taylor, Lailah Washington and Jaeda Asberry. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at All Faiths Funeral Services - North Chapel. Interment to follow at Kellough Cemetery, Bastrop, TX.
