Monica Townsley Holder

Monica Marie Townsley Holder died peacefully in Liberty Hill Texas on May 2, 2019 at the age of 72.

Monica is survived by her brother Miles Townsley and wife Debbie, sons William Allan Holder of Liberty Hill; son Michael Holder and wife Rachel Holder of Liberty Hill; and daughter Misty Holder of Liberty Hill.  She is also survived by grandchildren Trey Holder, Dylon Holder, Brandon Holder, Samantha Holder, Amy Holder, Stevan Holder, Dakota Stewart, Lilianna Holder and Callie Holder. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Danica, Lane, Case and Cole.   Monica is preceded in death by her husband William Allan Holder Sr. of Liberty Hill; Parents Raymond and Callie Townsley of Austin; Father in law Jesse Holder of Thrall; Brother Raymond Townsley of San Antonio; Brother Michael Townsley of Austin; and sister Rebecca Townsley Blanton of Austin.

Monica was born on June 16, 1946 in Austin, Texas to Raymond and Callie Townsley.  She graduated from Johnston High School and soon married the love of her life, William Holder.   She worked for the state of Texas Health and Human Services Commission for 25 plus years.  Her children remember her as a loving mother who went above and beyond to ensure their happiness, health and wellbeing.

She loved to garden, bake and crochet. Her family was her life.  She loved and cherished each grandchild.   She was generous, kind and was passionate about teaching the world about love.  The family would like to extend special thanks and heartfelt gratitude to those who helped provide extra care for her during this difficult time.  These people are ,Dylon Holder, Brandon Holder, Renee Queen  and the team of hospice caregivers from Guilding Health Care Services.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, May 10th at 10 am at the Liberty Hill Cemetery on Highway 29 in Liberty Hill Texas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Monica’s life.
