Nathan Scot Bage, affectionately known as Peepaw, Bogie, Scooter, Al, and Easter Bunny to Lisa, passed away at the age of 66 in Austin, Texas, on September 29, 2024. He was born on November 28, 1957, in Cameron, Texas.


Bogie was a beloved husband to Lisa Bage, a proud father to Jacob Bage (Jan) and Travis Bage, and a doting grandfather to his granddaughters Ava and Zoe. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Bage and brother Steven Bage. Nathan is survived by his loving mother Anita Pirovitz, stepfather Rudy Pirovitz, and a large extended family including his nieces, nephews, and special siblings Kathy Pirovitz Nealis, John Pirovitz, and Karen Pirovitz Holley.


In his professional life, Bogie worked as a truck driver and dockhand, dedicating himself to his career with diligence and pride. He was an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns football team, a passion he happily shared with anyone who crossed his path. Nathan's love extended beyond sports to include all his pets, whom he treated as cherished members of the family.


Known for his infectious joy and laid-back attitude, Bogie never took anything too seriously and always had a warm hug ready for those in need. His strength and helpful nature endeared him to all who knew him. He was a pillar of support for his family and friends, offering a listening ear and a helping hand whenever it was required.


A memorial service will be held in honor of Bogie on October 26, 2024, at Dale's Essanhaus in Walburg, Texas, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A mid-day dinner will be served at 3:30 pm for all those gathered to celebrate his life.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nathan's name to the VHL Alliance Foundation at www.VHL.org, a cause close to his heart.
