Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, Mr. Patricio Rodriguez was called home by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday November 22, 2016. He was best known for his gentle heart, calm & collective personality but most importantly as the glue that held his family together. On any given day you could pass by his house and catch him sitting outside on his swing, wearing his signature top hat as he enjoyed the weather & listened to his cumbias. Sometimes he'd even dance along. Although it's said that some people were born with two left feet, he wasn't one of them. You would notice as you'd see him pulling one of his daughters or granddaughters to the dance floor while they'd struggle to keep up. He possessed such an optimistic attitude that made him such a pleasure to be around. Although at times he was firm he was still so loved and highly respected. You couldn't help but strive to make him proud. We will always remember him through his jokes and laugher.
Patricio is proceeded in death by his Mother Santos Ponce, Father Thomas Rodriguez, Son Robert Rodriguez Sr. and Also by his two brothers Reymundo & Lupillo Rodriguez, along with his sister Connie Rodriguez. And not to be forgotten also by his longtime friend & pet Pepe.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Mrs. Lupe Rodriguez, his son Jesus Rodriguez, daughters Janie & Hester Rodriguez and lastly his son Tom Rodriguez and wife (Elena). He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren & great grandchildren that he was very close to.
In John 5:24 Jesus said, "I tell you the truth; whoever hears my word and believes he who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, he has crossed over from death to life."
We believe in our hearts that our dearest Patricio now sits at the right hand of the Father in the Kingdom of Heaven. We also believe his smile now illuminates the sky as he embraces his family & friends that welcome him home, As he now prepares to start his everlasting life & journey as one of Gods Angels.
In Matthew 5:4 Jesus said, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
Although our hearts are heavy as we lay him to rest we come together to celebrate his transition to Heaven as he lived a very long fulfilling life.
Let us be reminded of Jesus's words in Romans 14:7-8, "None of us lives to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord."
His Legacy will live on forever through his children & grandchildren. His family would like to thank all the Nurses and Medical staff that helped us take care of him. We would also like to thank all of our Family & Friends for their prayers and support in our difficult time.
