On August 11th, 1958 Paul Andrew Bryant was born to Maggie Nixon- Bryant and Claude Evan "Jim" Ellison who preceded him in death.
Paul attended Austin Public Schools. He was an employee of University of Texas for several years, he also worked as a handyman over the past years.
On the afternoon of April 4th the angel of silence came into the room of Paul Bryant and with chilled fingers sealed the lips of Paul - loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His soul winged its flight from this world of sin, sorrow, and pain to a place of eternal rest.
There are some lives that disappoint us, some impressions of character which we have revised in later years, but the impressions that was formed of Paul when you first met him remained unchanged to the of his life.
He became a Christian and joined Olivet Baptist Church was baptized by Pastor Kennedy Young Sr. He gave freely of his time his counsel, and his money, place of shelter, and was always willing to do anything that he felt would help for good in anyway.
Paul was not selfish, hence he felt that he needed someone to go by his side and enjoy whatever he might accumulate in his life, so two children were born, one loving daughter Paulette Bryant-Guy and one son Ronald Bryant. To his family he was loving and faithful, and strove to make them comfortable and happy. He taught his children to be God-loving and God-fearing and that to be Christians was one of the greatest things in life; and to know his children you will find that they have ever remembered his teaching.
He had to suffer only a short time, when all was over, a great voice from the skies welcomed him as a father, brother, uncle and friend and the voice says "Servant of God well done."
Leaving to Mourn his departure: wife, Myra Hargis; two children; daughter Paulette Bryant-Guy favorite son-in-law Jeff Guy, and son Ronald Bryant; two loving granddaughters Jayla Davis and Ra Khiyah Bryant; one sister Gayle Harris; four brothers Ronnie, Tommie, and Claude Bryant Jr. and Sterling Nixon; and three aunts Celeste Johnson of Austin, Texas, Johnnie Branch and Billie Nixon of Lockhart, Texas and host of relatives and friends.
