Ray Gordon Brennan, 81, of Leander, Texas, passed away January 4, 2015. Ray was born on September 6, 1933 in Buffalo, New York, the second son of Mildred Henrietta and George Allen Brennan and was a lifetime Lutheran.
He followed his dreams across the country, showing his love for restaurant management, with restaurants in Detroit, MI, Naples, FL and Leander, TX and providing Sunday morning breakfast foods for the congregation of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Leander, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his older brother George. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Elaine Veach Brennan, two sons, Todd and Scott Brennan, two stepdaughters, Shanna Graves and Michele (Michael) Hodges, four stepsons, Mark, Kirk and Michael Korenko, John Perry, three grandsons, Chris (Kristell) Hodges, Jacob and Thomas Graves, five granddaughters, Sierra and Tiffany Brennan, Stephanie (Carlos) Vasquez, Nikki (Spencer) Graham, and Kathryne Graves, two great grandsons, one great granddaughter and two life long friends, Jim Behrens and Ron Baum.
The family would like to thank the staff of Sagebrook Health Center for their attentive care and to Dr. Worsham for his compassionate support to both Ray and his family throughout Ray's illness.
Ray's life will be celebrated by the spreading of his ashes on his birthday on a favorite beach. Friends may honor his life with donations to the American Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or to a charity of their choosing.
