Robert B. Milligan, 77, passed away peacefully Thursday evening on June 27, 2019 in Austin, Texas and took up residence in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He now resides in a mansion in the Master's house in glory.
Robert was born December 27th, 1941 to Felix and Martha Milligan in Taylor, Texas. He received Christ at an early age. He loved to cook and made it his life's work rising to the level of Executive Chef. While working as Executive Chef he met the mother of his three children. Robert loved family and enjoyed spending time with them, telling jokes, laughing, and playing games; he had a wonderful sense of humor.
Robert is survived by his son Robert Lee Milligan; daughters, Jacqueline (Bruce) Howard, Earnestine (Fred) Haney; ex-wife, mother of his children and dear friend, Charlesetta Milligan; step-daughter, Elizabeth Hardiman; grandchildren, Amber Howard, Ashley Howard, Ebony Milligan, and Vernard (V.J.) Brown; great-grandchildren, Catrina Henry; great-great-grandchildren, Trenton Henry; brothers, Finish (Wanda) and Donald (Maria) Milligan; sisters Verdell Hunt, Pauline (Donald) Pearson and Teal Hunter and a host of family who loved him dearly and kind and loving friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Felix Milligan; mother, Martha Nears; brothers, Charles, Dennis and Jacob Milligan; sister, Carrie Lee Washington and grandson, Kevin Wayne Brown.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday July 13th of 2019 at Rock Quarry Missionary Baptist Church at 10411 FM 969 Austin, Texas at 12:00 noon with Pastor H.S. Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery at 3304 E. 12th Street Austin, Texas. The family will greet friends from 11:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Friday, July 12th of 2019 at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 8507 N. IH 35 Frontage Road. A viewing will be held in the State Room from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
