Roger Lenard Shaw, a true servant of God was born to Oliver and Milrose Hale Shaw on December 27, 1971. Roger accepted Christ at a young age while attending Willie’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Roger’s Christian walk was strengthened as a member of St. Stephen’s Missionary Baptist The North Star. He continued to apply God’s Word to his life as a member of Diakonos House of Servants. The angels lead Roger home to eternally be with God his Father, October 12, 2018.
Roger attended Harris Elementary, Pearce Jr. High and John H. Reagan High School. He enjoyed working for others in various positions until recognizing how much he enjoyed being an entrepreneur. Roger possessed a love for everyone and was loved in return by many. He could often be seen walking in the neighborhood with his sister Tina. He had a deep love and commitment to his family and friends. He always made himself available to everyone and was a true servant to all. Family, friend and stranger. His siblings found him to be a wonderful little brother. Roger did not know how to say NO. From his children to his nieces and nephews there was no distance that he would not travel to support their activities.
Roger enjoyed playing dominos and cards. There were few sports activities that Roger did not enjoy. As a youngster in elementary he played soccer and as he grew he enjoyed playing basketball and football. He was born to love 'dem boys.
