On March 26, 2024, the world lost a shining light with the passing of Ronnie Brock Jr.
His journey began on December 28, 1989, in his beloved hometown of Austin, Texas, where he was surrounded by the love of his family and friends from the very start. Ronnie's untimely departure brings immense sorrow to all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Known for his heart of gold, contagious humor, and captivating storytelling abilities, Ronnie touched the lives of many with his warm personality and quick wit. He had a knack for making everyone around him burst into laughter and feel at ease with his jovial demeanor. His fondness for spinning tales ensured that he was always the life of the party. He was lovingly known by the nickname his family gave him - Doodle.
Ronnie had a penchant for the color red, a deep appreciation for Mexican cuisine - with frito salad ranking high among his favorites - and an unwavering love for rap, hip-hop, and R&B music that resonated deep within him. His vibrant spirit was truly one-of-a-kind and left an indelible mark on all those who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
In Ronnie's journey onward, he leaves behind a legacy that will endure through the memories shared by those who knew him best. He is reunited in peace with loved ones who have gone before him - his loving father Ronnie Brock Sr. & devoted mother Lydia Diaz, his paternal grandparents Billie & Janie Brock, maternal grandparents Roman & Juanita Diaz, as well as an aunt Margie Villa - welcoming him home on this next chapter.
Ronnie will be deeply missed by his grieving family: Cherished aunt Jacque Brock; beloved sisters Lanee Leija (her children: Zari, Zariah, Dedrick) and Sadie Brock (her children: Saida, Zailen, Jazaiah, Zaivean); aunts, uncles, and many cousins who loved him dearly, as well as two great nieces and two great nephews whose lives were brighter because of their dear uncle.
The visitation to honor Ronnie's life will take place at All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Services - North Austin, located at 8507 N Interstate 35 Frontage Rd in Austin on April 4th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service is scheduled for April 5th at the same location starting at 11:00 AM and concluding at 1:30 PM.
As we bid farewell to Ronnie Brock Jr., we find solace in the memories we shared with him and take comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in our hearts forever. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that he so freely gave during his time here on earth.
