Ruben C. Buentello

Our heavenly Father called Ruben Buentello home on September 9, 2023 at the age of 81.  Ruben was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  Ruben was born in Rices Crossing to Pete and Eudelia (Costilla) Buentello on December 28, 1941.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Arthur and sister Raquel Alderete.

He is survived by his daughter Melissa Buentello Reyna (Eliseo), grandchildren Savanna, Amanda, and Javier, sister Rosie Machuca (John), nieces Diana Millard (David) and Daniele Phillips, nephews Hank (Nicole) and James (Rebecca) Cantu and numerous great nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will be Javier Reyna, Marco Garza, Hank Cantu, James Cantu, Nick Miranda, Ernest Buentello Jr, Gilbert Costilla Jr, and Roberto Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 4-8 pm with rosary starting at 6pm at All Faith's Funeral Home  8507 N. Interstate 35 Frontage Rd, Austin TX 78753

Funeral mass will be Tuesday, September 19, 2023 @ 1pm at San Jose Catholic Church.  2435 Oak Crest Ave. Austin TX 78704.  We ask that everyone please meet at the church on Tuesday.  Following the mass the family asks that you join them for food and refreshments and to share some happy memories of Ruben (location TBD).
