Ruby Moore

Ruby Moore, was born on April 12, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas. She departed from her earthly home and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 20, 2019 with family by her side. After moving to Austin, Texas, she graduated from Old Anderson High School in 1971. She was employed with Travis County for 10 years.

She confessed her belief in Christ at an early age. In later years she became a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church where she remained faithful until she departed.

During her lifetime, she raised three children and nurtured countless others. She was a quiet, understated woman who did not believe in judging others harshly, opening her heart and home to anyone that was in need.

Her interests included, family, playing pool, cooking and watching her favorite TV show “Walker Texas Ranger”. She was a member of “The Red Hat Society,” a social organization for women age 50 and beyond.

Ruby was predeceased by: Willette Young, grandmother; Robert Charles Sorrells, Father, Ellen Louise Hasty, Mother, Leonard Sorrells, Brother, Tommy Sorrells, Brother and Kedar Alexander, Grandson.

Ruby is survived by her children, Michael Guyton (Lisa), Tanya Coleman and Nicole Guyton all of Austin, Texas; Brothers: Herman Sorrells (Roz), Charles Sorrells; Sisters: Judy Sorrells, Beverly Sorrells, Pamela Olowu (Femi); Grandchildren: Diamond Draper (Corey), Kiara Coleman, Roland Ware, Jr., Dareas Scott, Deondre Guyton, Jamalik Guyton, Tierria Scott, Raheem Alexander, Michael Guyton, Jr. all of Austin, Texas; and a host of Great-Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and Friends.

Visitation Services will be held on Thursday, April 25th, 2019 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 8507 N. IH-35, Austin, Tx. 78753. Home Going Service will be Celebrated on Friday, April 26th, 2019 at 1:00pm at South Austin Community Church, 1801 Pennsylvania Ave., Austin, Tx. 78702. Committal Interment Service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 12th & Airport Blvd., Austin, Texas.
