2 Timothy 4:6-8
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearing.
Ruth Faye Walthall, aged 77, earned her wings on Wednesday April 10th, 2024 in Elgin, Texas, and is now rejoicing in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Born in Austin, Texas on August 31st, 1946, to parents Eugene Edwin Rampy and Norine (nee: Samuel) Rampy, she also had a number of siblings- Gertrude, Roger, Gene, Mary Gene, Maybel, and Pauline. Ruth is remembered as one who loved and served The Lord with her whole heart. Anytime the church doors were open, she was there. She loved and enjoyed being on the Praise & Worship team, and singing for The Lord and His people. If she wasn't singing, she was greeting, ushering, cleaning, or going to the Street Ministry to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ruth loved to serve, like Jesus; the moment you met her, she loved you, and she had a heart of gold for any and everyone who crossed her path.
She loved her children, whom she shared with her cherished Husband, Bert - the love of her life. She met him in their twenties - Ruth and Bert were inseparable from the day they met, supporting each other for 41 years of unconditional love and many, many shared memories.
Ruth is preceded in death by her Parents, Eugene and Norine, and loving Husband, Bert. She is survived by her Children: Vicky, Mark, and Debra; Grandchildren: Krystal, Nathaniel, Anna, and Steven; and Great-Grandchildren: Xavier Jr, Jessiah, Mercedes, and Zayne. Of those additionally left to honor her legacy are a number of additional family members and beloved friends.
From her children: You have run the race of life and finished it. Now, you're in Heaven, rejoicing with Jesus and the love of your life, our father Bert. We will love you, always and forever.
