Sherry Windham

Sherry Jane Windham was granted her angle wings on September 30, 2022.  Born in Gainesville, TX on June 28, 1933, to Robert and Waldine Shorter.  She had just reached her 89thbirthday.  Sherry grew up in Oak Cliff area of Dallas and graduated from Sunset HS and attended college at San Angelo College.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Nix Windham in November, 2020.  She will be remembered and interred at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TXOctober 13, 2022.

Sherry is survived by son, W. Zane Windham and spouse, Shelene; by daughter, Mitzi W. Jones and spouse, John Paul; her three grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; her sister Ronda Taylor and spouse Stan; and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Sherry lived her life enjoying her family and her many friends. She loved music and played piano by ear.  She was an avid reader and loved to work crossword puzzles and play cards.  She was loved deeply by us all.
