Stanley Lastovica

Stanley William Lastovica, 78, of Kovar, Texas passed away June 25, 2016. Stanley was born to the late Paul and Annie (Hofferek) Lastovica Sr. on May 20, 1938 in Smithville, Texas. He and Dorothy Jean Srubar married at the First United Methodist Church in Smithville and currently reside in Kovar, Texas. Stanley was a farmer and rancher by trade but also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandkids. Stanley is survived by his wife Dorothy (Jean) Lastovica; Son, John Lastovica and Daughter, Sheri (Allan) Holder all of Smithville, Texas; Grandchildren, A.J. Lastovica of Red Rock, Texas, Matt, Elizabeth, and Zackery Holder of Smithville, Texas; Sister, Hattie Higginbotham of Rogers, Arkansas; Brothers, Lee (Pat) Lastovica of Rogers, Arkansas and Ernest (Mary Jo) Lastovica of Bentonville, Arkansas; Sister In Laws; Rose Lastovica and nephew Allen Lastovica of Kovar, Texas, Pat Kesterson of Giddings, Texas, Grace Pulkrabek of Plum, Texas and Linda (Bennie) Trlicek of Fayetteville, Texas; Brother In Laws; Frankie (Linda) Srubar of Round Top, Texas and Mark Srubar of Giddings, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be gathering at All Faiths of the Pines, Smithville, Texas for a visitation Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 4-8 PM. Funeral service will be at 10 AM, Wednesday, June 29, 2016 also at All Faiths of the Pines, Smithville, Texas. Stanley will be laid to rest following the Funeral service in Kovar, Texas at the Kovar Brethren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in honor of Stanley W. Lastovica to Kindred Hospices and the Kovar Brethren Cemetery.
