Stanley Olson Jr. "Skip" passed in peace on November 25th, 2014 at the young age of 60 after a long battle with cancer. He was lovingly surrounded by his family in his home in Buda, TX.
Skip, the son of Stanley and Beverly Olson, was born on August 18, 1954 in Fort Dodge, IA. He grew up in Bode, IA with his 4 younger brothers. From 1975 to 1987, he owned and operated The Lion's Den, a local family bar and restaurant, in Bode, IA.
In 1987, Skip moved his family to Austin, TX, where he worked as an Executive Chef for Embassy Suites. Years later, following his father's footsteps, Skip became an amazing Salesman; for many years, Skip sold a variety of services and products, from Saladmaster cookware, to hot tubs and spas. He enjoyed his career and was successful in his trade.
Skip is survived by his wife of 10 years, Tammy Olson, of Buda, TX, his daughter, Stacy, and her husband, Dan Bishop. He is survived by his 4 loving brothers, Steve Olson, Mike Olson and wife Terry, Danny Olson and wife Kristie and Tommy Olson, stepchildren, Dustin and Chelsea Teske, along with many other loved ones and friends, including 6 nephews and 2 nieces.
Skip requested that no funeral be held but that we have a celebration of his life. People who knew Skip know he was the life of the party.
Celebration of Life for Skip will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at the home of Skip & Tammy Olson
