Susan Carrasco

Susan Navarro, of Smithville TX. passed away at Seton Hospital in Austin TX. On April 1st, 2013. Susan was born December 1st, 1961 to Joe and Virginia Navarro in Amherst, TX. She was 51 years old.

She is survived by her husband Joe L.Carrasco and mother Virginia Navarro. Her daughter Victoria Nunes and son in-law Steven Nunes, son John Frank Carrasco, daughter Christy Carrasco and Jonathan Leal, son George Carrasco and daughter in-law Brittney Carrasco, and son Bill Adams. Her grandchildren Marissa Nunes, Brittany Carrasco, John Micheal Carrasco, Katelyn Nunes, Gabriela Leal, and Taven Adams. Her Brother Joe A III and Abbie Navarro, sister Jane and Clemente Navarro-Diaz, sister Tanya Navarro and Chris Greham. She also leaves behind five nieces, four nephews, two great nieces, and two great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Joe Navarro, her aunt Ruby Noack, her grandparents Joe Anthony Sr. and Jesusa Navarro, George and Juanita M. Ramirez.

Susan's first devotion in her life was the caring for her children that she loved dearly. She was not only a housewife to her husband and family. She enjoyed taking care of not just her own children but also nieces, nephews, and other children at home. Later she worked at Grace Lutheran Learning Center as an assistant manager and fourth grade teacher for several years. For the past seven years Susan worked as a cafeteria manager and head cook at Smithville ISD's Brown Primary campus.

Susan will be honored by pallbearers John Micheal Carrasco, Christopher Navarro, Justin Navarro, Logan Navarro, Stephen Harris, and Jarron Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Anthony Navarro, Clemente Diaz, and Chris Greham.

A Visitation will be at All Faiths of the Pines in Smithville, TX Thursday April 4th at 5pm to 8pm and will include a Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be Friday April 5th 11:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church in Smithville TX. Susan will be laid to rest at Oak Hill cemetery immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Susan Carrsco to the American Cancer Society.
