Teresa Gomez-Rodriguez

Teresa Gomez-Rodriguez (Terry), beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, was called to her Heavenly Home on April 28, 2021. She was born in Bastrop, Texas on October 24, 1940, and was a lifelong resident of East Austin. Terry was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she received her Communion and Confirmation Sacraments. She was fond of saying that she started attending as a “little girl with her “Abuelita” Jesusa Gomez in the 1940s”. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, she regularly attended Saturday afternoon Mass at Guadalupe always selecting a side pew. Terry was devoted to daily prayer and reciting the Rosary for various intentions. Terry was predeceased by her parents Francisca Arredondo and Pedro Gomez, husband Jesse Rodriquez, sister Isabel Dominguez, brothers Pete, Benito, Alex, Victor, and Lorenzo Gomez and daughters Cynthia Guzman and Monica Puentes Rodriguez. She is survived by sons Ernest and Edward Guzman, daughters Carolyn Guzman and Mary Sue Gomez-Garcia, brothers Frank, John, Joel, and Roy Gomez as well as a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
