Vella Marie Mach Garrett "Dayee", 84 of Smithville, Texas passed away on March 24, 2014.
She was born in LaGrange, Texas on January 17, 1930 to Albert and Laura Richards Mach. She married Elyman Hays "Butch" Garrett, Jr. on June 24, 1954.
Vella is survived by daughters, Laurie Hoffman (Claude) and Jeannie Ralph. Sister, Patsy Welch, grandchildren Dustin Ralph (Katrina), Brian Hoffman (Karen) Kevin Ralph, Ryan Ralph (Courtney) and Faith Ralph. Great grandchildren, Preston Ralph and Lana and Elijah Hoffman. Nieces who were like her daughters, Gay Powers, Brenda Mitchell, Sherry Jameson, & Janice Hurst.
Vella was preceded in death by her husband Butch, her son Guy H. Garrett, grandson Brandon C. Hoffman and son in law Howard Ralph.
Visitation will be Friday, March 28, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at All Faiths of the Pines in Smithville, Tx. Services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 , 10:00 am, at the 1st United Methodist Church, Smithville, Tx.
