Victoria Almaraz

Victoria A. Almaraz, 80, died on May 23, 2016 in the quiet of her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born December 11, 1935 in Dilley, Texas the daughter of Wencelao and Eulalia Alaniz. She was the oldest of 4 children. She married Roy Almaraz on August 5, 1956. She was a wonderful God-fearing woman who was an intercessor in prayer and taught her children the power of prayer. She loved music, singing, the smell of roses and most importantly her family. Pallbearers will be Stephen De La Paz, Josiah Cantu, J.Daniel Guerrero, John Maldonado, Jason Rodriguez and Andrew Rodriguez. She is survived by husband Roy Almaraz, daughters and son-in-laws: Selma Lee Guerrero, Samuel Guerrero, Sandra Y. Guerrero and Jesus Guerrero, daughters Rosenda Almaraz, Camila Rodriguez, and Reyna Helen Almaraz; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Armando Gil Almaraz, sisters Mary Hernandez and Diana Alaniz, grandson Jeremiah Paul Guerrero. Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 26, 2016 at House of Prayer Church 7929 S. US Hwy 183 at 7 PM and burial will be held on Friday May 27, 2016 Assumption Cemetery at 10 AM.
