Virginia Preshaw, 90, passed away October 3, 2013. Born in Austin, Texas July 25, 1923, the daughter of James A. Nelson and Ruby Ruthenberg Nelson. She graduated in 1941 from Austin High School.
Virginia married Sergeant William A. Preshaw on May 27, 1945, at the First Baptist Church, son of Mr. and Mrs Thomas F. Preshaw of Ogden, Utah.
She was preceded in death by hear husband Willliam (Bill) A. Preshaw and daughter Patricia A. Womack. Virginia is survived by her sister Jane Shive, Helen Dresser and brother James (Buddy) Nelson, nephew James Shive Jr., half-sister Marion Conkle and half-nephew Mike.
Bill and Virginia owned Jetts Radio and T.V. Repair. It was their family business for 40 years on Guadalupe Street near the University of Texas.
As members of the Good Sams Club of Texas, they traveled to different States meeting and visiting with new and old friends.
Virginia, a sweet lady, was a great sports fan cheering for the Texas Longhorns and Houston Astros.
The family expresses their thanks to the staff of Parsons House-Austin and Cedar View Rehabilitation Center Healthcare.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the All Faiths Funeral Services, North Chapel, 8507 N. IH-35.
