William Daugherty

William was born in Austin, Texas to James and Frances Daugherty on December 1, 1958. The fourth of six children, Jay, Bobby, Darlene, Debbie and her husband Ken and Diane and her husband Eric. He is also survived by his half brother Jack Daugherty and his wife Vivian.

He loved to race cars, play pool, feed the squirrels and birds. He was a great friend to all, and a loving brother with a heart larger than life. He also was Papa to Taylor and Brooke; awesome uncle to James, Tiffany, Nathan and DJ. Also, great uncle to Brock and Ryan. His extended family included Carol, TJ, Amanda and Larissa. They were part of his heart for many years. He loved Effie too! She is and will always be part of the Daugherty family as was Sandra, Lloyd and Milford.

He worked as a lawn mower mechanic for many years and had a loving family at Austin Outdoor Power. He aimed to beat you at playing pool and finishing  in 1st place when he was car racing. We will always be his #1 race fans. Keep running wide open!
