William Gaylord

William Lynn Gaylord, son of William Hardy Gaylord and Vida Lea (Bachman) Gaylord-Warner was born in Woodward, Oklahoma. He departed Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm on May 10, 2014 at his home in Smithville, Texas at age of 64.
Lynn attended school in Stratford, TX until 1965 where his family moved to Southwest Kansas and Lynn Graduated from Rolla High School in 1968. Lynn went to college at Pratt Community Junior College and transferred to Panhandle State University in Goodwill, Oklahoma with a degree in Animal Science and Business.
Lynn was united in marriage July 26, 1980 to Lucille (Summers) Gaylord at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Plainview, Texas where they made their home. Lynn was a salesman for Missouri Beef Packers (Cargill) for several years and also raised show pigs for the area 4-H and FFA members. Lynn was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order Of The Arrow in the Boy Scouts of America.
Lynn moved his family to Smithville, Texas in May of 2001 where he was employed with Sam's Wholesale and Mission. Lynn loved his kids and grandkids and helped them tremendously in showing livestock and little league baseball, basketball, football, and volleyball games cheering them on to success.
He is survived by his wife Lucille of Smithville, Texas, Dax James and wife Rhonda of Columbus, Texas, Son Jeffery Lynn Gaylord of Paige, Texas and son Todd William of Smithville, Texas. He has six Grandchildren; Blake James, Tristen James, Devon James, Alexandra Gaylord, Clayton Gaylord and Emmitt Gaylord. Lynn is survived by one brother; Steve Gaylord of Fort Worth, Texas.
He was preceded by his parents; William Hardy Gaylord and Vida Lea (Bachman) Gaylord-Warner and one sister Sue Ellen Gaylord.
