William (Bill) Hollingsworth, Jr. 64, of Kyle died on Friday, July 31st after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born in Martin's Ferry, Ohio on October 14, 1950. He was one of four children born to William A. Hollingsworth Sr. and Lillian Theo (Dean) Hollingsworth.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1970 to 1978, which included service on the USS Sturgeon SSBN-637 and the USS George Bancroft SSBN-643.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William A. Sr. and Lillian Hollingsworth; sisters Gerrie Lee Lovejoy and Elizabeth Ann Hollingsworth.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Ann and their 4 children, Monica Macchietto and her husband Rob, Janet Jernigan and husband Josh, Dean Hollingsworth and wife Stephanie, and Aaron Hollingsworth and wife Sally Marie. He is survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
