William (Bill) B. Parnell II, a dedicated Accounting and Finance Officer for the Department of Defense, has passed away at the age of 86 in Austin, Texas. Born in Henryetta, Oklahoma, Mr. Parnell led a fulfilling life marked by his service to both his country and community.
A proud Army Veteran with a specialization as an RA Engr C and skilled marksman in both Carbine and Rifle, William exemplified bravery and commitment throughout his military tenure. His professional journey was characterized by excellence, having earned a Bachelor's Degree and serving diligently in the field of Accounting and Finance for the DOD.
Mr. Parnell's legacy extends beyond his professional accomplishments, as he was a beloved husband to Janice Parnell, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, William David Parnell of Ogden, Iowa; his daughters Elizabeth (John Cole) of Raytown, Missouri and Patricia Parnell of Pflugerville, Texas; grandchildren Phillip Cole (Katie) and Brooke Cole (Emma); and great grand son Jackson Cole.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of William (Bill) B. Parnell II will be held on March 4th at the Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery in Killeen. The service will be a testament to the impact he had on those around him during his lifetime.
In remembrance of a life well-lived, Mr. Parnell will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
