Willie James Hoyt was born on May 23, 1957, in Ashburn, Georgia to Jessie Lee Hoyt and Willie Mae Hoyt of Ashburn, Georgia and departed this life on May 10, 2017, at the age of 59 years old.
Willie James Hoyt served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division Air Assault Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky in an elite specialized light infantry division trained for air assault operations nicked named "Screaming Eagles." During his time in the US Army received numerous medals and honors including a badge in expert marksmanship.
After, honorable discharge from US Army Willie James moved to Austin, Texas in 1978. He was employed by Motorola, Inc., and State of Texas Building and Procurement Commission for ten years as a driver.
Willie James Hoyt was preceded in death by his mother Willie Mae Hoyt (Austin, Texas), his father, Jessie L. Hoyt (Austin, Texas), his brother, Robert Jones (Ashburn, Georgia), his brother, Leroy Sider (Austin, Texas), his sister, Lelia B. Walker (Ashburn, Georgia), his brother-in-law, Melvin Walker (Georgia), his brother, Willie Hoyt (Connecticut), his nephew, Roger Bateman (Austin, Texas), his nephew, Dwayne Jones (New York), his nephew, Tommie Walker (Ashburn, Georgia), his nephew, Jermaine Hoyt (Austin, Texas).
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Anthony Ruben Hoyt (Seattle, Washington), three sisters, Dorothy Ann Hoyt-Perkins (Charles) of Austin, Texas, Dona P Jones of Austin, Texas, Carrie Giuffre (Perry) of Rockdale, Texas, and three brothers Dannie Jones (Cherlyn) of Detroit, Michigan, Ralph Sider of Detroit, Michigan, Eddie Lee Hoyt (Jerry) of Atlanta, Georgia, David Lee Hoyt of Austin, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
